Pearson Laikim Maths Book Grade 5 is an outcomes-based approach to learning Maths in English. Laikim Maths is an exciting and innovative new series written especially for PNG's outcomes-based Lower Primary Mathematics syllabus.
This series is designed to help teachers cover the Mathematics syllabus while also integrating the teaching and learning of English across many of the Language syllabus outcomes. It recognises the need to teach English and Maths together, as it is in Lower Primary that students first encounter English as a language of instruction.
Laikim Maths features attractive full-colour illustrations and diagrams to stimulate students' interest. To ensure maths come alive in students' work, a Laikim Maths Ruler is provided with each student book. The ruler is used in a wide range of tasks to support learning across the strands of Number and Application, Measurement, Space and Shape, Chance and Data, and Patterns.
