The Essential Spelling Skills for Papua New Guinea Grade 5 is a sequential, developmental spelling program that will provide primary students in Grade 5 with strategies and skills to become independent spellers in English.
Student book features:
- 50 units of work - 10 units per term - have been developed as a full year's spelling program.
- Three pages of work per unit provide sufficient activities for a five-day spelling program.
- The first two pages of each unit concentrate on developing spelling strategies to tackle unknown words.
- The third page of each unit allows students to learn more about English, including grammar and writing.
- An assessment program is built into each unit and is usually completed on the fifth day. This helps the teacher test students' spelling knowledge on a regular basis.
