This event underscores our unwavering commitment to advancing education in Papua New Guinea (PNG) and aligns with our corporate social responsibility initiatives.
On July 15th and 16th, we had the honour of attending the conference, hosted by Hon. Lucas Dawa Dekena, MP, Minister for Education, and Dr. Uke Kombra, PhD, OBE, Secretary for Education.
The conference gathered delegates, senior education ministry members, development partners, non-governmental organizations, and guests to explore the theme “Transform Teaching and Learning to Achieve Quality Education for All.”
Discussions covered crucial topics, including the Education Sector Analysis Report, statistics on PNG’s Quality Education Indicators, and updates on early childhood education reforms. These insightful sessions highlighted the collaborative efforts needed to elevate the standard of education across PNG.
Our contribution to the conference was multifaceted. Through our Printing Solutions division, we provided high-quality printed materials, stationery, and display banners used by delegates throughout the event. This support ensured that the conference ran smoothly and that all attendees had the necessary resources to engage fully in the discussions. The exhibition allowed delegates to see firsthand our commitment to enhancing the quality of education in PNG through our comprehensive range of products designed to support teachers and students alike.
The conference wasn't just about exchanging information; it was about building partnerships. Theodist Limited interacted with educators from across the country, gaining a deeper understanding of their specific needs and challenges. These interactions fuelled our ongoing commitment to developing targeted initiatives that directly address these needs.
Theodist Limited has a rich history of supporting education in PNG. We are passionate believers in the importance of early childhood education and actively support key institutions driving this agenda. Our corporate social responsibility efforts include school donations, on-the-job training for TVET students, early childhood programs, education for individuals with special needs, and life skills training for disadvantaged children. These initiatives are designed to foster an inclusive and supportive educational environment for all.
The 33rd Senior Education Officers' Conference served as a powerful reminder that achieving quality education for all in PNG requires a collaborative effort. We at Theodist Limited are deeply inspired by the dedication and passion of the educators we met. Moving forward, we remain resolute in our commitment to supporting educational transformation in PNG.
Through continued sponsorships, strategic partnerships, and targeted support programs, Theodist Limited aims to empower educators, equip students, and contribute to building a truly inclusive educational system where every child in PNG has the opportunity to excel.
We are immensely grateful for the opportunity to be part of this significant event and look forward to continuing our partnership with the education sector for many years to come.
