The announcement, made at our Port Moresby showroom, is a significant highlight of our National Book Week campaign, which launched earlier this month.
To celebrate this milestone, the children of Buk Bilong Pikinini were given an exclusive tour of our Print Shop, where they had the unique opportunity to observe the details of the printing process. The event included a hands-on activity, allowing the children to create and print their brochures, providing them with a glimpse into the dynamic world of graphic design and printing.
Ryan Pini, Theodist Ltd.’s Corporate Development Manager, stated, "We are privileged to extend our partnership with Buk Bilong Pikinini. This sponsorship represents more than just a financial contribution; it is a testament to our ongoing dedication to fostering the educational development of young minds in Papua New Guinea."
Theodist’s commitment to literacy goes beyond financial contributions. Our collaboration with BbP has led to the launch of the engaging children's book series, “When I Grow Up, I Want to Be a Graphic Designer”, which offers an inspiring look into the world of graphic design and printing. This series aims to spark young imaginations and encourage future careers in the creative industry.
Anne-Sophie Hermann, Founder and Chairperson of Buk Bilong Pikinini, expressed her heartfelt gratitude for Theodist’s continued support: “Theodist’s steadfast commitment has been instrumental in allowing Buk Bilong Pikinini to expand our Library Learning Centres nationwide and deliver exceptional services. We are deeply thankful for their dedication to literacy and education.”
Since 2014, Theodist has proudly served as a Gold Sponsor for Buk Bilong Pikinini, reflecting our ongoing commitment to enhancing access to education and literacy in Papua New Guinea. In addition to our annual sponsorship, we operate a mini BbP library at our Port Moresby shop and manage a BbP bookshop within our store, with all proceeds supporting Buk Bilong Pikinini’s mission. We also have a book collection bin in-store for donations of pre-loved books to be revitalized for BbP.
Our decade-long partnership with Buk Bilong Pikinini underscores our dedication to collective efforts in advancing community progress.
At Theodist, our commitment to supporting impactful initiatives remains strong. We look forward to continuing this partnership for years to come, working together to support Papua New Guinea’s future leaders and create lasting benefits for education and literacy.
